A little bit about who we are  personally:
I was born and raised in Southern California, and had the privilege of growing up in a loving home in the somewhat rural town of  Valley  Center.  My rural town childhood  revolve around sports, and I identified myself as an athlete for most of my life.(These days I use the term athlete a little more
liberally!) The love of my life, my wife Monica, is a
professional softball coach and nutritionist;  she tries her best to keep me in shape.
In our free time Monica and I enjoy off road activities with our family in our local deserts, boating on local lakes and rivers, or just about any outdoor activity. Both Monica and I also enjoy ministry to our community through our church.
What you might find most surprising about me is my passion for building. I enjoy building classic vehicles,  off road vehicles, home construction, and financial plans. I love the challenge and satisfaction I find in designing and building and feel very blessed to be able to use these skills in service to my clients.
I am convinced that my calling in life is to help families to be good stewards of their finances. By adhering to sound financial principles regarding debt, investing, risk management, taxes, and estate planning, I believe that I can improve the quality of life for the individuals I work with.

I am a native South Carolinian and relocated to San Diego in 2000.  I am the son of depression era parents that instilled in me a strong work ethic.  I council my clients to live below their means, eliminate consumer debt, continually save and invest, diversify their investments and insure those assets they cannot afford to lose.

I began my career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse in 1983.  After obtaining my CPA I moved into  private industry holding several positions as assistant controller and controller for several large privately owned and publicly traded companies.

In 2000 I decided to begin a financial planning practice and moved to San Diego.  I wanted to utilize my financial background and expertise to help individuals and families make informed decisions about their finances.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife Holly, family, and friends.  I also enjoy riding my bike with the triathlon club of San Diego, swimming in the ocean, and various other outdoor activities.
